Qualifying as a Licenced Real Estate Sales Person in South Australia in June 1987 and then registered as a Licensed Real Estate Manager and Registered Land Agent in December 1990 together with being awarded a Certificate of Commercial and Industrial Practice in the Real Estate Industry, Australasia, January 1994. Appointed Director/Trustee of the Real Estate Industry South Australia – Superannuation Fund in January 1994 together with being appointed Vice President of the Real Estate Sales Persons Association in March 1997 and continuing on through to 2023.
Having sat as a Senior Committee Member on the Commercial and Industrial Division of South Australia through the Real Estate Institute again since 1998 through to the recent re-structure of the Real Estate Institute in 2023.
The experience gained working with residential and commercial property in one of Adelaide’s oldest real estate companies – Theodore Bruce Group Pty Ltd was invaluable, with Nathan being made Associate Director in July 1997.
Having joined Rob Younger Real Estate in March 1998 and again working with Character Residential Property as well as sales and leasing of commercial property, Nathan gained a valuable eight year window working with Character Property in both the Residential and Commercial space being based in and around King William Road, Hyde Park and ostensibly working within that five kilometre radius.
Having joined the Smallacombe Real Estate Group as a Licensed Residential and Commercial Real Estate Agent/Manager in July 2006, Nathan has spent the past seventeen years working with his original client base and building a substantial residential and commercial sales and leasing portfolio.
Recognised in 2012 by then Deputy Premier/Attorney General, Nathan was appointed an Industry Assessor to sit with the Judiciary and advise on all matters real estate in the Court system of South Australia.
That appointment has been on a continuing basis over the past eleven years.
In summary, the depth of experience and knowledge with reference to the South Australian Real Estate Market having helped write the 2002 State Award for Real Estate and rejigging it in 2020, the depth of expertise and knowledge of our Industry and indeed the South Australian market place, is second to none.
As Nathan always states, you get one opportunity to maximise the return on your property and you may as well work with an Agent who actually knows what he is doing rather than one who may “think” they know what they are doing.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Nathan (along with Nathan Junior) is a proud supporter of Scotch Old Scholars Cricket Club and through Smallacombe Residential and Commercial has been a sponsor of the Old Scholars Cricket Club for many years, with Nathan Junior being heavily involved in all of the Club’s affairs and contributing as a leader both on and off the field. Nathan Senior has always had a -passion for professional standards and ethics within the Industry and indeed represented some 80,000 property based employees in recent years lobbying for fair and reasonable conditions for the Industry in front of three High Court Bench Commissioners representing the Fair Work Commission out of Canberra.
